Gay Friendly

We offer many LGBT travel and tourism options for all tastes, preferences and budget. Gay-friendly cruise to Galapagos. What is the best time to travel? Thanks to its position on the equator, there is never a bad time to enjoy a gay-friendly cruise to the Galapagos. There is always plenty to see and do, but if you have certain preferences about what you want to see or which activities you particularly enjoy, there may be a "sweet spot" time for your personal needs. The warm season runs from December to May, with average temperatures of 30°C and a generally warmer and calmer sea. It is the best time for diving enthusiasts, since the sea temperatures mean that it is not always necessary to wear a neoprene suit (or maybe just a swimsuit). The cold season runs from June to November, and high temperatures are likely to be around 25°C, with cloudier skies and the occasional shower. The sea conditions are a little harsher, with higher waves, and the sea temperatures are lower thanks to the cold currents. On the other hand, these cold currents are rich in food, so you can see more marine species at this time. You will need a wetsuit.

If you want to have a great time with your partner, we also recommend these wonderful places: • The Ecuadorian Amazon is an incredible destination for those who like outdoor activities such as hiking and enjoying the diversity of nature. • Quito is a must if you are an art lover. Located in the heart of the Andes, it has a large number of monuments worth visiting that were part of the baroque style imported from Europe. • The Galapagos Islands are a paradise of biodiversity, unique among other travel destinations around the world, and a perfect place to relax without massive tourists around you.

CLIMBING RUCU PICHINCHA IN QUITO

Climbing Rucu Pichincha in Quito is a great opportunity for hikers to acclimatize without venturing far from the city. It is literally a stone's throw from the center of town. At 4,784 m, it is quite high by South African and even European standards. But here, it's just a bump in an extraordinary landscape.

Getting to the start of the Climb

Getting there is quite easy up the Teleférico (cable car from Quito). Here we buy our tickets and take a 15 minute ride to the top. The journey is impressive and the views of this city are incredible.

Route to the summit

Once at the top station (Cruz Loma, 4050m), you will find two main routes leading to the summit. The first is an exciting scramble along the ridge through El Paso De la Muerte. This is a fairly straightforward fight, but it has an exposed journey. The second route forks to the right and goes around the "back" of the volcano. This route is less dangerous, but it is necessary to climb the sandy ash slopes for about 45 minutes. On a clear day, you can see three 5000m volcanoes, including the Cotopaxi Volcano.

This is an amazing climbing adventure in Quito.!!

What to take for Rucu Pichincha

Two liters of water, some light snacks, waterproof jacket, rigid walking shoes, gloves and walking poles. Bring sunscreen and sunglasses, even if it's cloudy. Important: 2 days of acclimatization are needed in Quito before attempting this peak.

Go trekking to an “Altar”

The crater walls are covered with snow, which, added to the lagoon at the base, gives us a unique landscape. It is a trekking of medium difficulty, which is worth all effort to get there!
